STAFF ASSISTANT / PART TIME

Hourly Rate:     $12.00 - $15.00 depends on experience

Reports to:        President and General Manager

Scope of duties

The Staff Assistant performs administrative duties taking and recording official Meeting Minutes with highly advanced MS Word skills.  The Staff Assistant will work part time and attend meetings of a take meeting minutes of the Board of Directors, it's Executive Committee, and other such meetings as needed.  The schedule is flexible and may require evening and and ad hoc work.

Short term work two times per week, 6pm - 11:00 p.m. taking notes and reporting on previous work and details.  You will be taking notes, collecting documents and preparing written minutes of various organizational meetings, so attention to detail, speed and accuracy are of utmost importance. Applicant would need to have a really flexible attitude as you will not necessarily work on the same days every week.

Qualifications

  • a perfectionist with a flexible schedule
  • can work evening hours 2 to 3 sometimes per week
  • advanced MS Word skills, note taking experience
  • 55+ wpm typing, able to prepare and submit within two days

Must also be prompt, reliable, well organized, and able to work extended hours as needed. Flexibility with working hours, days, with a positive, get the job done, professional demeanor is required.

Education and Experience: Staff Assistant must have excellent oral, written, and visual communication skills and experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer in order to read and manipulate files for record keeping.

Working ConditionsNormal office environment.
